About me

Hi guys! I’m mercedes, but my friends and family call me “cede”. I was born and raised on a farm in a small town. SInce I was a little girl, I have always loved photos. Back then, I was usually the one in front of the camera posing. As I got older, I used to find myself sitting on my bedroom floor going through bins and bins of old photos, admiring every one. I guess you could say I always had a love for photos. Fast forward a few years, it wasn’t until high school when i realized I had a creative eye. So in true mercedes fashion, I simply just went for it. I got a camera, dragged my dad to the beach on a cold january day and practiced taking pictures with my new camera. that night, i edited those pictures (had no idea what i was doing) and posted them on my freshly made instagram account. the rest is history. i dove full force into this thing i once called a hobby and created a beautiful, growing business that i am so proud of. i never looked back. five years later, i have photographed hundreds of people all over new england, flew to utah, met couples from california, michigan, australia, panama city, chicago and many other parts of the world. i have photographed so many different versions of love. the experiences and personal growth this business has given me is so much more than i could have ever imagined that day i went to the beach with my dad and for that, i am eternally grateful.

when i don’t have my camera in my hand, you can find me at my 9-5 job where i am a loan officer, or at home with my fiance and our 2-year old rottweiler, hendrix. i am a homebody at heart and love to spend my days at home in sweatpants and relaxing. when i go out, you can find me with my family and friends, usually at the farm by a fire or out at a restaurant getting dinner and drinks. i’m a scorpio through and through, i quite literally cannot live without coffee and i love to thrift shop/diy!
